After 3 yrs of work by Trail Dynamics, Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition, (http://www.svbcoalition.org/) and countless other volunteers, the lower fall line portion of the trail has been rerouted into awesome single-track. Trail is usually combined with other trails (Lynn Tr.)to make a loop, or shuttled from Reddish Knob (Timber Ridge Tr. to Wolf). Hundreds of miles of trails in the area. (135 South Main St. Harrisonburg, Va. 22801 540-437-9000) in downtown Harrisonburg for more info. As with all trails in this area; steep, rocky, scenic, awesome single-track are common descriptions. Bring extra tubes as pinch flats are common.<br />
Now that you're on your bike follow the dirt road 3/4 mile from Rt 924 and you will see a gate, and no trespassing signs. Turn left, Lynn Trail starts here (signed as Trail 436). Climb 1200 feet in the next 1 1/2 miles and take a left at the trail junction, and get ready for 5 miles of mostly downhill bliss. When you get dropped out on the gravel Tillman Rd, take a left, then another left at the "T" intersection and you'll be back on Rt 924 to find where you left your car. <br />
To do this as a big loop or shuttle keep going up to the top of mountain on Rt 924, turn left on Paved Forest Rd 25, go to Reddish Knob and ride Timber Ridge Tr. down to Wolf.<br />
All the trails off the mountain will drop you out on Tillman Rd. so if don't panic if you take the wrong trail.<br />

To do as a moderate length loop;(12 mi.) Find Briery Branch, Va on the map and follow Rt 257 west. After 3 miles 257 ends and becomes 924, At this intersection Tillman Rd. comes in from the left. 3/4 of a mile up Tillman is where Wolf Ridge Tr. ends. There is only room to park one vehicle at the end of Wolf, so continue up Rt 924 for exactly 2.75 miles and turn left on the dirt road. Can park any where but the best place to park is at Briery Branch Lake which is on the left 1/4 mile before the turn off.
